O Christmas Tree

I found Ciera here this morning.  She had pulled the little bench from the electric piano over so she could sit and gaze at the Christmas tree.  Christmas is magical.

Little Helper

Ciera loves to help bake.  Somehow she gets covered in flour within seconds.  This picture really doesn't do it justice, but I wanted to remember this cuteness.

Smiles

I kept meaning to get a picture of some of Cayden's first smiles, but either I forgot or by the time I tried, he was done smiling.  I finally did capture a couple somewhat early smiles.

Alphabet Crown

Ciera's preschool makes a big deal once a student has learned all their ABCs and letter sounds.  They have parents honk their horns and cheer whenever any student comes out wearing an alphabet crown.  Ciera loved it and wore her crown for awhile even after we got home.

She loves to make silly faces and then look at them in the camera.

 

Ciera's New Room

Ciera has a new room too!  It's all finished, except for a bed skirt.  She is now using the same furniture I used for 16 years.  It is her great-great-grandmother's furniture and is about 100 years old!  Both Ciera and I are actually named after that same grandmother too (middle name).  I think it's pretty special that she's using the same furniture as her great-great-grandmother whom she's named after.  We also tried to do something in which we could keep her old curtains, wall decor, and blanket.  She wanted a cloud bed, birds, and blue walls.  This is what we came up with.
 

Auburn Hair

Cayden's hair looks either dark brown or red depending on the light.  I was trying to capture how red it can sometimes look before his baby hair starts to fall out.  We love the color it is now, but wonder what color it will end up.

Christmas Tree Hunting

This year only Darren and Camden went because of the new baby.  The kids love to go up in the mountains (especially when there's a lot of snow on the ground) to hunt for a Christmas tree. 

One Month Old!

I can't believe Cayden is already one month!  This was a very quick photo session.  He went from content to upset pretty quick.  He didn't like sitting on the couch with all those stuffed animals, especially since nobody was holding him.
