Cayden's Newborn Photo Session

Pumpkin Patch

We went to Farnsworth Farms to get some of their yummy apple cider and pick up a few pumpkins from their pumpkin patch.  The kids had fun choosing their own pumpkin.  We even uncovered Cayden for a quick picture.

Camden was playing with Cayden, when he realized he could start training him in all things Star Wars.

One Week Old

Cayden is one week old today.  He still wants nursing to be like the bottle feeding he had in the hospital, where it just pours into his mouth with little effort on his own.  (He had to be fed formula in the hospital, because he was so large for his gestational age.)  He also has his days and nights mixed up, but we're working on it!  I love how newborns just curl up and snuggle on your shoulder.  It's hard to set him down in his bassinet.  I just want to cuddle with him!

I love how he is fascinated with the sock on his hand.

Brothers

Camden loves being a big brother.  He was so excited to hold Cayden and was very careful with him.  Before he held him, he washed his hands for five minutes at least.  Ciera is sick, so she has to wait until she is better.

Homeward Bound

Today was our last day in the hospital.  We couldn't wait to take Cayden home where we could enjoy him more and everyone could get some more rest.  It felt so good to be home with him.  We love him so much already.

Heaven Sent

Cayden was born at 6:07 a.m. and weighed in at 9 lbs 2 oz and 21 1/4 inches long.  I'm glad he came two weeks early at that weight!  The moment he was placed in my arms I was overwhelmed with so much love and joy for him.  We look forward to getting to know him!
