New Year's Eve

We watched a movie, played games, had yummy food, and watched fireworks from our house.  We're excited for the new year!

Ice Castles

We went and explored the Ice Castles in Midway.  We got there just as the sun was starting to set.  I wish I would have changed the settings on my camera so I could have taken better pictures in the low light.  I guess I was too busy looking at the ice.  My pictures don't do it justice.  Camden was afraid the icicles were going to fall on him.  I was wondering myself if they have ever had that happen to anyone.  He would have us tower over him from behind to protect him whenever we passed under any.  Both Camden and Ciera loved it once they turned the lights on making the ice formations change colors.  We want to go back in a month or so, because they continue to build up the ice walls as the season progresses.

Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas.  Camden's gifts mostly centered around Star Wars and Ciera's around fairies and ponies.  They also got a trampoline to expend all their extra energy.  That evening we went to the other grandpa and grandma's house for another Christmas party and gift exchange.  The kids didn't want Christmas to end.

 
When Ciera was going through her stocking, she took her time to line each piece of candy up in a neat row. 

Later, she got some sparkles on her hand from her fairy costume wand and went and hid for fear we would wash them off.  She was fascinated by them and wanted to admire her "sparklies."

Christmas Eve

The kids opened their gifts to each other and also a game for all of us to play in the morning.  In the afternoon we went to Grandpa and Grandma's house for a party and gift exchange.  The kids really enjoyed playing with all their cousins.

Gardner Village

Camden would be devastated if we missed our tradition of going to Gardner Village during the holidays.  I think it is one of his favorite traditions.  He made sure we stopped at the candy store first, so he could snack a little as we walked around.  It was cute to see them both furtively pick out a gift for each other at the toy store and then sneak it over to the cashier.  Once we got back in our car to go home, Ciera declared, "That was fun!"

Santa's Cookies

We had fun making some cookies for Santa.  I love how they drag their chairs over to the counter to help every time.
