Flowers

We love when our eastern redbud tree blossoms.  I'm also really liking the plant combination in our urns this year.  Last year the impatiens we planted in the urns didn't do very well, so we went back to geraniums.  I think the impatiens needed more drainage and a less windy location.  I'm still undecided on the plant combination in the hanging pots.  I knew I didn't want to plant lobelia in them again.  The lobelia was pretty in the spring but sparse in the summer.  We also had to water them a lot more than other flowers we have done up there to keep them from withering and looking limp.  Or maybe it was just our poor gardening skills.  We  just keep experimenting and trying to learn from our mistakes.
