Spring Bouquet

We tried this flower-dyeing project.  I got the idea from the Family Fun magazine.  The kids got to observe how these flowers drew water up through their stems and left the dye behind as the water evaporated.  It was a lot of fun watching the flowers change colors.  I should have used more food coloring in the water, but now I know for next time.  I took the second picture of the flowers about 24 hours later.

Here they are after three days in the colored water.
